LINKS TO SUCCESS
“How you do anything is how you do everything”. Examining the skills, aptitudes, and how you tackle situations encountered in the game of golf can teach you a lot about how you approach other areas of your life. Your personal leadership qualities, principles and actions are revealed in understanding how you address your “game”. Your mind-set, your character and your actions determine your ability to play well, to score well and to enjoy your game; they also determine your capacity to model leadership, to engage others and to excel in your business.
Links to Success incorporates the allegory of how one performs on the golf course as a proxy to determine success in life and in business. The programs consist of “virtual” golf courses where participants score themselves or their organizations on key qualities and attributes of leadership, excellence and integrity.
The Executive Course™
Come ready to play and join us for a “virtual” 9 hole round. Even people who don’t golf have loved this seminar! Tally your scorecard as we go around “The Executive Course” and learn the principles of success on and off the golf course. Expect to be intrigued and leave understanding where you already excel and what part of your “game” you may want to fine tune. As a parting shot, take away what you can use from this program, consider the impact on you and your organization and follow through with greater discernment. You will have an opportunity to discuss your “round” with colleagues at the 19th hole.
Participants will…
- Explore core qualities of leadership through a fun and interactive format
- Increase self-awareness by rating themselves on their own scorecard
- Discover areas of proficiency and how to maximize those strengths
- Consider how challenges may be undermining success
- Explore how these factors play out in business and in life
Mastering The Challenge of Change
Change is a capricious constant; regardless of whether it is initiated to facilitate innovation, to take action on an unsatisfactory situation, or to respond to outside influences that demand transformation. Contrary to common perception, change cannot be managed per se, only led. Leadership is the key factor in an organization’s ability to initiate and respond to change.
Using elemental, established models and the metaphor of golf, this seminar incorporates humour and interactive participation to creatively explore the strategic thinking and the essential steps towards productive, dynamic change. Everyone plays with a scorecard - score yours and your organization’s capacity to initiate, respond to and champion change.
Participants will:
- Achieve greater understanding of motives for, and resistance to, change
- Examine a straightforward structure for change
- Explore qualities of character that support or hinder change leadership
- Gain increased awareness of personal leadership strengths and challenges
- Rate their own and their team’s aptitude for change
